MTV Wins At Life Tonight

After the debacle/foolishness that was the last MTV Music Awards, thank GOODNESS MTV is seeming to redeem itself with the Movie Awards tonight. I'm still watching on my DVR, but after I rewound the World Premiere of the New Moon trailer several times, I noticed Ryan Seacrest posted it on Twitter!!

... Wait. I'm sorry. Did that last sentence REALLY just happen? Rewinding for New Moon? Ryan Seacrest? Twitter?? Who am I??...

Sigh. Ok. Aaanyways, I couldn't wait any longer to share this fabulousness. Between Rob in his dreamy suit and a shirtless Taylor who is apparently all grown up, I dare you to watch just once... :)

Ahhh! November 20th... So soon!!

Cute Overload

After hearing about the Surprise Baby Panda that was born in Thailand yesterday, I may or may not have gotten a little carried away with finding pictures of the little cutie pie:

With her mom, Lin Hui.

Look - she's smiling!

This silliness quickly led me to an ENTIRE gallery of adorable Zoo Babies!! O.M.Goodness. This all adds up to entirely too much preciousness for one day... if there is such a thing.

"Maybe Make a Little Magic in the Moonlight"

I know this makes me even more of a cliche of a girl than I already am (as though the pink-themed blog and constant discussion of delicious sugary treats weren't enough...), but it has to be said:

Kris Allen?! A. Dor. A. Ble.

Then the American Idol gods go and pair him with the charming Keith Urban and his precious single "Kiss a Girl"... Y'all, I just didn't even stand a chance! I was so busy swooning during the performance last night that I'm surprised I didn't fall right off of the eliptical machine...

Siiigh... Right?? I mean, I know the debate will go on for awhile about who really "deserved" to win (for the record, I totally heart Adam too), but you just can't deny Kris' uber dreamboat factor... And I'll be sure to report back on how well it translates in PERSON after I meet him (and Adam!!) at a Rolling Stone lunch on Tuesday... Weeee! Can. Not. Wait.

Oh, and my office is closed tomorrow for the long weekend (yayyy!), so have a Happy (Pseudo) Friday!

Spock and Speidi

You know you should probably just head to bed when... Gchat conversations like this start taking place:

me:
is it weird that i want to have a dvd marathon of Laguna Beach.....?
Kristen: mmmm...yes, but i love Spock so i have no room to talk...

Yep. We win. At life.

Wanty Want Want...

If this dress doesn't scream, "I want to live in Bethany's closet! And frolic about the City with her this Spring! And every Spring there after!!"... then I don't know what does...

Ahhhh, presh times 10! The sale ends in 4ish days... Ha, any bets on how long I can resist bidding??

(Thanks to Jessica at what i wore for pointing it out, which btw, is a fabulous daily fashion blog that y'all need to check out. My lovely Mallory follows it too and told me recently that a lot of Jessica's outfits remind her of me... scroll through her blog a bit and I'm sure you'll see why that pretty much made my week! :) )

Breakfast of Champions

I literally just had to have the following pep talk with myself on my walk to work this morning. Welcome to the inside of my early morning, uncaffeinated mind (Consider yourself warned.)...

"I will NOT eat the chocolate covered Oreos or Swedish Fish that are at my desk for breakfast. I will NOT eat chocolate covered Oreos or Swedish Fish for breakfast. I will NOT eat chocolate covered Oreos or Swedish Fish for breakfast. I will NOT eat chocolate covered Oreos or Swedish Fish for breakfast. I will NOT..."

I mean, seriously?! Does that even sound appealing to a normal person at 8:30 in the morning?? What am I? Five years old??

Sigh. Whatever... I still think I should get points for the fact that I've resisted these delicious treats that one of my reps brought yesterday so far. Ha, emphasis on the so far... Because seriously, y'all! They're sitting here. Staring at me. Taunting me... I think it's a losing battle, this one...

It's Not a Video, But...

... this new blog is so amazing that I think it's worth Happy Friday! Happy Video(ish)! status:

Seriously, out of control funny. My section of cubicles is just a bunch of uncontrollable giggles right now because we can't stop scrolling...

The majority of the photos are just good clean fun, however I apologize in advance (Mom :) ) for any PG-13 pictures and/or comments - silly user submitted content can get a little risque at times.

And thanks to my lovely friend Christine for the fabulous find, all the way from Dallas! AND she'll be invading NYC in just two weeks!! Perhaps we'll take some Awkward Fam Photos of our own while she's here... Ahhhh Juice in the City, Part II... Can. Not. Wait!

Lesson(s) Learned

In recent days, I've had the great fortune of learning the following tidbits:

1. If it's 20 minutes past when a Sunday matinee is supposed to begin, you're the only person in the theater, AND they're still showing the pre-show with no official previews in sight... maybe you should double check that you're in the correct theater... instead of, say, asking a boy who works there. And then he immediately Walkies to management that there's an emergency movie malfunction. And then you run away.

2. Target.com is a dangerous, dangerous site, especially for a girl who hasn't set foot inside one of their stores since December. But what deals! Sigh.

3. Cinco de Mayo is in fact celebrated in states other than Texas. However, the lack of emphasis placed on margaritas and queso can be something of a letdown.

4. When your CHI has had time to heat up to approximately 400 degrees F and you trip on the cord while your hands are preoccupied with your mascara, perhaps it would be best to let said CHI fall to the ground and break instead of, I don't know, attempting to catch it with your forearm. Don't believe me? I have a nice 3" scar forming that proves my point...

5. I don't think I'll ever get sick of the rain; it always ends up reminding me of Seattle... The humidity, however, my bangs could do without.

Spring Cleaning

ABC Family Weekend Programming (Dirty Dancing, Legally Blonde AND Mean Girls!) + 18 epsiodes of West Wing on my DVR + Rain, Rain, and more Rain = The perfect Sunday for cleaning The Disaster, otherwise known as "My Room."

Seriously. I know that sometimes I miiight let my room get a liiittle out of hand, but this. was. bad. Oh! AND I finally freed my sundresses from their prison and then banished my sweaters and Uggs to the depths of my closet... I had been putting the big switch off because I was worried I'd jinx the weather, but now that it's officially May, I just couldn't wait any longer!

Spring, please oh please say you're here to stay! My sundresses and I are ready to frolic around the City with you. xoxo
