Foiled.

I really figured I'd get at least a week or so into NaBloPoMo before I resorted to gushing/swooning/being a teeny-bopper girl and just posting about one of Hollywood's heartthrobs... But alas, Vanity Fair has foiled my plans! My roomie Renee brightened my Monday and sent me this link to the drool-worthy outtakes of Robert Pattinson's recent photoshoot for VF. And can I just say... O... M... Goodness.

Swoony swoon swooooon! Oh, and the best part? This is only the FIRST of FOUR slideshows from the shoot!! That means three more doses of this deliciousness are in our near future, my vampire-loving friends... y.e.s.

Seriously, Universe?!

As though I needed any other reason to love:

B. The West Village...

... Now Dan goes and buys a drool-worthy place in one of my dream neighborhoods??! Yes, it's true - read all about it here. I mean, doesn't it seem pretty clear that the Universe is trying its hardest to bring us together?

Call me Professor Trelawney, but I think I foresee my Autumn to be filled with maybe a few more strolls through the colorful tree-lined streets of the Village this year than in the past...

"Maybe Make a Little Magic in the Moonlight"

I know this makes me even more of a cliche of a girl than I already am (as though the pink-themed blog and constant discussion of delicious sugary treats weren't enough...), but it has to be said:

Kris Allen?! A. Dor. A. Ble.

Then the American Idol gods go and pair him with the charming Keith Urban and his precious single "Kiss a Girl"... Y'all, I just didn't even stand a chance! I was so busy swooning during the performance last night that I'm surprised I didn't fall right off of the eliptical machine...

Siiigh... Right?? I mean, I know the debate will go on for awhile about who really "deserved" to win (for the record, I totally heart Adam too), but you just can't deny Kris' uber dreamboat factor... And I'll be sure to report back on how well it translates in PERSON after I meet him (and Adam!!) at a Rolling Stone lunch on Tuesday... Weeee! Can. Not. Wait.

Oh, and my office is closed tomorrow for the long weekend (yayyy!), so have a Happy (Pseudo) Friday!

Spock and Speidi

You know you should probably just head to bed when... Gchat conversations like this start taking place:

me:
is it weird that i want to have a dvd marathon of Laguna Beach.....?
Kristen: mmmm...yes, but i love Spock so i have no room to talk...

Yep. We win. At life.

It's Easy Being Green

I guess it would be an atrocious betrayal to my Northwest roots if I failed to recognize all of the glory that is Earth Day - Have y'all hugged a tree yet today?! They're a little harder to come by in the City, but I'm considering heading to Central Park for the occasion...

Ok, just kidding... but in place of trees, I certainly wouldn't mind hugging THIS Environmentalist Love Muffin. Sigh, I love a man who loves the Earth:

Ha! Earth Rocks, indeed! Oooh Paul Rudd... Be still, my Washingtonian heart. :)

An Epic Debate

I saw this ad online the other day. You better believe I would've clicked through (had I not just been creeping over Lauren's shoulder when it came up and immediately demanded she send me a screenshot...)

Ha! Best. Ad. Ever. It's basically the story of my life... Edward vs. Harry?? Harry vs. Edward?! OMGoodness! I mean, how is a girl to decide between two such delightfully delicious, magically fictitious boys??

Sigh. Thoughts?? Anyone? Or maybe I'm alone in this tortuous struggle...

Somewhere Between Hollywood and Main Street

Everyone has crushes on celebrities... Right?

Their beautiful, perfect, air-brushed faces are plastered everywhere we look. Here in Manhattan, these exquisite creatures even cross that already oh-so-blurred line between Hollywood Blvd and Main Street by actually daring to live among us. I mean, it's only natural that occasionally we might sort of, kind of, maybe forget that we don't actually have any real, well... ummm... chance...? Yeah. Totally normal...

... Right?

Sigh. I may as well face it - When it comes to just a few (read as: apparently more than just a few) of these famous young men, I'm hopeless. Case and point, a rather "typical" conversation with my good friend Kristen earlier today:

my Gchat status: I require at least 26 copies of April's GQ. IMMEDIATELY.
Kristen: hahaha so who is on the cover of GQ?
me: ha. three guesses. and the first two don't count
Kristen: daniel radcliffe?
me: fine. you get ONE more guess
me: because that was a legitimate one, considering we're talking about me
Kristen: the boy from the Tudors whose name is escaping me right now
me: hahahaha Henry Cavill.... valid, but no.
Kristen: Rob Pattinson
me: ha, and thaaat's the one!
me: oh! AND you needed all three guesses! maybe i'm not as transparent as i thought...
Kristen: hahahaha

Whatever. A girl can dream... Right???

Reasons of the Moment Why I'm Loving This Weekend

1. This is how I just spent the last hour, jogging along the river:

2. It's ABC Family Harry Potter Weekend! Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! Chamber of Secrets! Prisoner of Azkaban! Goblet of Fire (featuring none other than the dreamy Robert Pattinson)! And rumors of more Sneak Peeks into the upcoming Half-Blood Prince! O.M.G. (And yes, that link is to a fan site called "The Leaky Cauldron"... No shame when it comes to my love for Harry P... Sigh.)

3. I have a ton of space on my DVR, which means I'll be taking advantage of both of these glorious, aforementioned points... Starting with meeting up with a few of my favorites for Shake Shack and/or cupcakes in Madison Square Park. xoxo!
